Keeping the Lights on in New England
ISO New England oversees, operates, and plans New England’s electricity grid. Throughout our decade-long relationship, we have worked with the ISO to create engaging and relatable solutions that communicate their highly technical work and the energy realities New England faces as a region. Operating as an almost-in-house agency, we have designed websites, annual reports, recruitment campaigns, training materials, market outlook pieces, and strategic initiatives—helping reshape ISO’s image to position them in the national electricity landscape as the smart, dynamic, forward-thinking leader they are.
Scope of Work
TAF has designed ISO’s Regional Electricity Outlook report for the past 10 years. These annual reports thematically represent the current market—and its challenges—and provide a glimpse into a possible cleaner energy future. The focus on custom illustrations of everyday objects and scenes throughout these pieces makes them approachable and gives context to complex concepts.
TAF redesigned the ISO website within the visual identity framework to provide easily accessible real-time data reporting. The site features reference materials for working groups and a library interface that allows visitors to seamlessly navigate more than 40,000 online documents. The design was developed with a user-centered approach that appeals to key stakeholders because it is tailored to how they interact with the site.
